Ultrasound Charge Technologist 

Location : Toronto, Ontario

Position : Part-time/Full-Time

Start Date: September 2018

Job Description:

Supervises, trains, disciplines and evaluates the performance of staff ensuring that all protocols are being followed; communicates, implements, interprets and enforces approved changes; participates in department management through collaboration on the development of internal policies and procedures; assists with complicated or sensitive patient cases; regularly performs diagnostic ultrasound technology duties; ensures quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.

Requirements:

  • Communicates and enforces policies and procedures; monitors work activities to ensure that policies and protocols are being followed.
  • Assists with the creation/correction of Technologist’s worksheets and ensures their successful implementation.
  • Receives and investigates suggestions and/or complaints concerning the department and its personnel. Refers difficult and unusual or sensitive situations to superior.
  • Participates in interviews of new Sonographers.  Orients, trains, and develops/mentors them, evaluates their performance, and recommends their correction/training, discipline and/or discharge. Also recommends promotion when warranted.
  • Regularly performs ultrasound technology duties.
  • Assists with preparation for clinic assessments and is directly involved during the assessment.
  • Works directly with the Radiologists, Medical Directors and/or Chief Radiologist to ensure high quality imaging is performed at all times.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
  • College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO)
  • Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) is an asset

  • 1+ years experience in Canada in general ultrasound, ALL modalities, MSK, RVT and small parts
  • ARDMS (ABD) (GYN/OB)(NT) and Sonography Canada licenses in good standing and CMEs current
  • Liability insurance required

X-Ray Technologist – (Full Time and Part Time) Mississauga

Job Description

Status:  Full Time / Part Time/Casual

Location: Mississauga

We are currently hiring for full time and part time X-Ray Technologist.  We are looking for dynamic individuals for various GTA locations.  As a X-Ray Technologist, you will perform a variety of standardized and complex services.  Your responsibilities include preparing the patient for examination, reviewing patient history, explaining procedures, and obtaining images of diagnostic quality. You will assist with patient management – all while ensuring a high level of patient care and safety.

  • Obtain the required views according to organizational protocol
  • Ensure complete patient history is obtained for proper interpretation of the case
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Must have the ability to work independently
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and patients.
  • Must provide compassion and respect for the patient, family and support persons in the provision imaging services
  • Reliable and adaptable.

Experience & Certifications

  • Registration in good standing with the CMRTO and CAMRT
  • Continuing education annually as required by the CMRTO
  • 0 – 2 years Experience
  • Liability Insurance is a requirement
  • Work based on all regulations and ALARA principles
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Follow HIPPA guidelines
  • Should be well versed in infection control requirements and procedures
  • Graduate from a recognized college/university program in Medical Radiation Technology
