Sonographer – Port Hope, ON – Full Time and Part Time Positions Available

Job Description

Status:  Full Time / Part Time

We are currently hiring for full time and part time Sonographers.  We are looking for dynamic individuals for various GTA locations as well as our Belleville and Port Hope locations.  As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will perform a variety of standardized and complex ultrasound services for the diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology. Your responsibilities include preparing the patient for examination, reviewing patient history, explaining procedures, obtaining ultrasound images of diagnostic quality, and taking initial action to resolve abnormal findings. You will assist with clinical intervention and patient management – all while ensuring a high level of patient care and safety.

  • Registration with the American Registry of Medical Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must demonstrate critical thinking skills in the assessment of complex pathologies.
  • Must have the ability to work independently
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and patients.
  • Demonstrated commitment to be an integral part of the diagnostic imaging team to ensure smooth workflow within the department.
  • Must provide compassion and respect for the patient, family and support persons in the provision imaging services.
  • Reliable and adaptable.
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record.

X-Ray Technologist – Full Time and Part Time Positions Available

We are currently hiring for full time and part time X-Ray Technologist.  We are looking for dynamic individuals for various GTA locations.  As a X-Ray Technologist, you will perform a variety of standardized and complex services.  Your responsibilities include preparing the patient for examination, reviewing patient history, explaining procedures, and obtaining images of diagnostic quality. You will assist with patient management – all while ensuring a high level of patient care and safety.

  • Obtain the required views according to organizational protocol
  • Ensure complete patient history is obtained for proper interpretation of the case
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Must have the ability to work independently
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and patients.
  • Must provide compassion and respect for the patient, family and support persons in the provision imaging services.
  • Reliable and adaptable.

Experience & Certifications

  • 0 – 2 years Experience
  • CAMRT or provincial equivalent certification or equivalent provincial license
